Each week, we’ll select one standout pair, be it a classic, sleeper, new drop, or something with a story worth telling. Plus, Chase will give his verdict.

This week, we’ve tapped…

Limosine Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low

In this issue, we’ll be exploring the new Limosine Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low, a football-inspired colorway of the iconic skate shoe that is winning over the ever-fickle skate and sneaker communities.

Released on June 19th, the SB Dunk Low by Limosine Skateboards features buttery brown pebbled leather reminiscent of football cowhide. Its standout detail is the tongue, where white β€œlaces” stretch from the toe box to the leather tongue tag, mimicking the look of a classic pigskin. Printed Swooshes along the sides echo the design of a football, rounding out the theme.

While we’re a few years removed from the SB Dunk’s peak hype cycle, the Limosine SB Dunk proves the silhouette still has creative legs. It’s a reminder that for every headline-grabbing collabβ€”be it Ben & Jerry’s, The Wizard of Oz, or the Grateful Deadβ€”the SB Dunk remains deeply rooted in skate culture. And in that space, there’s still plenty of room for originality.

Nike SB and New York-based Limosine Skateboards are teaming up for their first collaboration, reimagining the Dunk Low with a unique football-inspired design that dropped on June 19, 2025.

This special edition is a home runβ€”or rather, a touchdownβ€”in every sense of the word. The brown pebbled leather upper mimics the texture of a football, while the white lace detailing on the tongue recalls classic pigskin laces. It’s old-school Nike SB: the brand giving an exciting, up-and-coming skate label the freedom to flex its creative chops on the ultimate blank canvas: the SB Dunk.

The Limosine x SB Dunk is a reminder that no matter how many times we think the Dunk’s hype has cooled off or gone too mainstream, Nike SB still knows how to spark fresh excitement for skaters and sneakerheads alike.

This section is all about the buzziest drops, scroll-stopping headlines, and can’t-miss news lighting up the sneaker world each week.

This week, we’re zeroing in on…

🍞 Nike joins the loafer game

Patta x Nike Air Max 90 β€œWave Pack”

Patta’s history with the Nike Air Max 90 runs deep. The Amsterdam-based brand first left its mark on the silhouette in 2006 with the legendary β€œHomegrown” collab. Now, nearly two decades later, Patta returns with a one-two punch of fresh colorways as part of the expanding β€œWaves Pack”—a series that originally appeared on the Air Max 1 in 2021. Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Low β€œSoft Yellow”

Inspiration in the sneaker world often comes from unexpected places, and the new Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Low β€œSoft Yellow”—nicknamed the β€œFrobe”—is a perfect example. The colorway is inspired by a photo of a young Kobe practicing in pajamas while recovering from a broken hand during the 1999–2000 NBA season.

Standout details include oversized β€œ8s” on the heels, nodding to his original Lakers’ jersey number, and a graphic of Kobe mid-practice printed on the insoles, grounding the design in a personal moment from his early career. Buy them now β†’

πŸ‘Ÿ Jordan Brand Makes Sample Jordan 1 High β€˜85s in Every OG Colorway

In celebration of the Air Jordan 1’s 40th anniversary, Jordan Brand unveiled all sixteen original 1985 colorways of the Air Jordan 1 High, reimagined in the ultra-rare '85 cut. The reveal came courtesy of Jordan Brand employee @bookofrowan, who shared a sneak peek at the full lineup via a special exhibit at Nike’s Beaverton, Oregon headquarters.

While Nike originally dropped all sixteen colorways back in 1985, only four have seen a retail release in true '85 form so far: β€œNeutral Grey,” β€œBlack/White,” β€œMetallic Burgundy,” and the iconic β€œBred.” The rest remain sample exclusivesβ€”at least for now.

There’s reason to believe more are on the way. In December 2024, DJ Chase B teased the β€œRoyal” on Instagram. A few months later, Nike collaborator Julian Gaines showcased the β€œChicago,” and more recently, Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment Design was spotted in the β€œUNC” pair.

Whether this is a one-off moment or the start of a full rollout, Jordan Brand clearly knows how to stoke excitement.

🍞 Nike Enters the Loafer Game With the Air Max Phenomena

It’s a post-sneaker world, and we’re all living in it. In 2024, New Balance shocked everyone with the debut of the 1906L: a sleek, slip-on version of the beloved 1906R with the upper’s lid cleanly chopped off. The viral loafer-sneaker hybrid tapped perfectly into the ongoing menswear revival seen all over modern street fashion.

Soon after, brands like HOKA, Mizuno, and Converse followed suit, each dropping their own takes on the crossover style.

Now, Nike is officially joining the movement with the Air Max Phenomena, as teased by atmos Creative Director Hiroshi Kojima, its first real entry into the emerging loafer-sneaker spaceβ€”further proof that the lines between sporty and stylish continue to blur.

The Air Max Phenomena is designed by Nike’s in-house Serena Williams Design Crew and features the sole unit from the recently reintroduced Nike Air Sunder. Up top, a premium tumbled leather (seen here in black) is paired with a synthetic mudguard in β€œCool Grey,” giving the silhouette a sleek, elevated finish.

While Nike has yet to confirm an official release date, a β€œcoming soon” teaser suggests the Air Max Phenomena could be arriving sooner rather than later.
