Each week, we’ll select one standout pair, be it a classic, sleeper, new drop, or something with a story worth telling. Plus, Chase will give his verdict.

This week, we’ve tapped…

Infinite Archives x Air Jordan 17 Low β€œBeach”

After months of speculation and anticipation, Infinite Archives’ collaborative Air Jordan 17 Low β€œBeach” has finally arrived. Released on October 17th, the sneaker marks the brand’s first-ever partnership with Jordan Brandβ€”and another milestone moment for the Air Jordan 17. Once a forgotten silhouette from Michael Jordan’s Washington Wizards era, the model has experienced a revival in recent years through a series of high-profile, well-received collaborations.

The β€œBeach” colorway draws inspiration from the Jordan 17’s original lineup, as well as Player Exclusive versions worn by former Team Jordan athlete Mike Bibby. The design features smooth leather toe caps in a sandy tone aptly named β€œBeach,” complemented by tonal tumbled leather side panels and perforated black leather across the tongue and collar. Rounding out the look is a multi-colored rubber outsole, a color-shifting heel clip, and Jumpman and β€œIA” logos on the left and right heel, respectively, that add a modern, premium touch to this retro classic.

The Infinite Archives x Air Jordan 17 Low β€œBeach” is, according to Infinite Archives founder Easy Otabor, a β€œtribute to original Jordan Brand players,” and that sentiment shines through in every detail. From its refined materials to its nostalgic color cues, the collaboration pays homage to the early 2000s era when performance and elegance defined the Jumpman line.

The shoe is both a celebration of Jordan Brand’s legacy and a clear indication of how far the Air Jordan 17 has come: a once slept-on silhouette in Jordan’s Wizards years to a coveted canvas for today’s most forward-thinking collaborators.

The Air Jordan 17 is officially back in the hype cycle, thanks to a string of recent retros and modern collaborations like the new Infinite Archives x Air Jordan 17 Low β€œBeach” that have thrust the once-overlooked silhouette back into the sneaker spotlight.

I, for one, am here for all the love the Jordan 17 has been receiving lately, and think it's years overdue. The Jordan 17 was the shoe Michael Jordan wore when he made his return to the NBA with the Washington Wizards in 2001, not some retro pair he rocked with the Chicago Bulls. That alone gives the model credence. And when you couple the fact that the Air Jordan 17 β€œCollege Blue” came packaged inside that sweet briefcase with the accompanying CD-ROM, you realize just how ahead of its time the shoe really was.Β

From its luxury-inspired design to the jazz influences that shaped it, the Air Jordan 17 stood apart from the pack in 2001, and it still does today. Now, over two decades later, seeing it return through collaborations like Infinite Archives’ β€œBeach” edition feels like a well-deserved victory lap for one of the most misunderstood sneakers in the Air Jordan lineage.

This section is all about the buzziest drops, scroll-stopping headlines, and can’t-miss news lighting up the sneaker world each week.

This week, we’re zeroing in on…

πŸ‘Ÿ Jordan Brand’s World of Flight Retail Concept Debuts in Philadelphia

Jordan Brand’s World of Flight retail concept is officially landing in the U.S. On October 10th, Philadelphia will become the newest city to host the immersive retail experienceβ€”joining global locations in Milan, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Mexico City. Designed as a hub for sneaker culture, the space blends product, storytelling, and community, celebrating Jordan’s legacy through exclusive releases, heritage exhibits, and interactive experiences.

Located at 1617 Walnut St. in the heart of Philadelphia’s shopping district, World of Flight Philadelphia is also the exclusive home of Jalen Hurts’ new Love Hurts collection. The store features collaborative apparel and gear designed by local artists, highlighting the city’s creative energy.

Inside, shoppers will find an enviable lineup of footwear, including retro Jordans, modern basketball silhouettes like Jayson Tatum’s Jordan Tatum 4, and other highly sought-after styles. Jordan Brand has also confirmed that the space will host restocks of some of the year’s biggest releases, such as the Air Jordan 14 β€œBlack Toe” and Air Jordan 5 β€œBlack Metallic Reimagined.” Notably, the Air Jordan 12 β€œFlu Game” was released in-store on October 11th to mark the grand opening.

πŸ‘Ÿ Nike SNKRS App Gives Out Golden β€œInstant Got β€˜Em” Tickets in Chicago

Nike and running go together like peanut butter and jellyβ€”a timeless pairing built on innovation, performance, and style. So it was no surprise that The Swoosh showed up in full force at the Chicago Marathon a few weeks back. What did catch people off guard, though, were the golden β€œInstant Got ’Em” tickets being handed out at the event.

While it’s unclear who the lucky recipients were, the purpose of these passes was quickly understood: holders of the β€œInstant Got ’Em” ticket can redeem it for any SNKRS drop from now through November 18th. There’s one catchβ€”you still have to pay retail to see that coveted β€œGot ’Em” screen.

According to Nike, this isn’t the first time the brand has rolled out the golden ticket treatment. The β€œInstant Got ’Em” pass first appeared during NBA All-Star Weekend in San Francisco earlier this year, where winners could use their voucher to purchase any Nike, Inc. footwear visible in the SNKRS App (U.S. region) from late February through the end of March.

Based on the latest information provided, the new roundup of β€œInstant Got β€˜Em” tickets can be redeemed for any of the hyped releases Nike and Jordan Brand have planned for Holiday 2025, including the upcoming Travis Scott x Fragment Design x Air Jordan 1 Low OG, the Air Jordan 4 β€œBlack Cat,” and more.

Neckface Reveals His Unreleased Nike SB Dunk Samples

Back in 2022, Nike SB teamed up with California-based graffiti artist Neckface for a Halloween-themed SB Dunkβ€”marking the first-ever collaborative Halloween edition of the iconic skate shoe. The release followed the duo’s SB Blazer Mid project from 2013.

Now, with Halloween right around the corner, Neckface has taken to Instagram to share previously unseen photos of a sample version of the SB Dunk Low. Much like the retail release, the unreleased sample embraces a full-on spooky aesthetic, covered in ghouls, tombstones, skulls, demons, and snakes. The biggest difference lies in the details: the sample pair features distressed midsoles wrapped in green tape, while the retail version opts for a cleaner finish with black tape instead.
