Each week, weβll select one standout pair, be it a classic, sleeper, new drop, or something with a story worth telling. Plus, Chase will give his verdict.
This week, weβve tappedβ¦
Air Jordan 4 βCave Stoneβ
Today, weβll be exploring the Air Jordan 4 βCave Stone.β
While it may still be summer on the calendar, Jordan Brand is already leaning into the cooler months ahead with fall-ready drops like the Air Jordan 4 βCave Stone,β released in full family sizing on September 9th. Showcasing classic βNike Airβ branding on the heelβa rarity for a non-OG Jordan 4 colorwayβthe βCave Stoneβ brings a premium lifestyle aesthetic to the timeless silhouette.
This early-fall standout is built with high-quality materials, including a Cave Stone suede upper paired with black accents on the tongue, side netting, wings, and lining, keeping the look both versatile and seasonal.
While those touches elevate the design, its defining feature is undoubtedly the βNike Airβ heel branding, a detail typically reserved for OG colorways and high-profile collaborations. Its inclusion on the βCave Stoneβ gives the pair a must-have quality for collectors.
Finally, as some have pointed out, thereβs a strong chance the Air Jordan 4 βCave Stoneβ draws inspiration from an unreleased Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4 sample that never hit retail. That connection only heightens its appeal, giving collectors the opportunity to own a piece that nods to Jordan Brand heritage and Travis Scott lore.

The Air Jordan 4 βCave Stoneβ is the latest addition to the Jordan 4 family tree, and in my estimation, itβs a must-have for collectors looking for a clean, versatile everyday pair heading into fall. With a Cave Stone suede upper and black hits on the netting, wings, and liner, itβs the kind of shoe youβll get plenty of mileage out of, so long as you keep it clean between wears. The βNike Airβ logo on the heel lets you know that this is no ordinary release.
And itβs not.
The βCave Stoneβ echoes an unreleased Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4 that never hit retail. Itβs not an exact one-to-one, but the sentiment is the sameβa Jordan 4 that feels both collectible and wearable, with a little added lore baked in. You canβt ask for much more from a non-OG Jordan in 2025, especially in a sneaker landscape where weβve seen and worn it all before.

This section is all about the buzziest drops, scroll-stopping headlines, and canβt-miss news lighting up the sneaker world each week.

Air Jordan 5 βFire Red - Black Tongueβ
Jordan Brandβs celebration of the Air Jordan 5βs 35th anniversary isnβt slowing down. After the βGrapeβ release in June, the brand is bringing back another classic on September 13th: the Air Jordan 5 βFire Red β Black Tongue.β
Undoubtedly inspired by the original βFire Red β Black Tongueβ from 1990, designed by Tinker Hatfield and famously worn by Michael Jordan with the Bulls, the 2025 retro brings back OG details like βNike Airβ embroidery on the heel, shark-tooth midsole accents, Jordanβs former PE-style β23β on the lateral heel, and more. All told, itβs a faithful tribute to one of the most iconic Jordans ever made. Buy them now β

πOur Sneaker of the Week from last weekβs newsletter, the Nike Ja 3 βHustle & Flowββdropped September 10thβis the latest standout in Ja Morantβs red-hot signature line. This mismatched blue-and-yellow pair brings a fresh storytelling angle to the series, drawing inspiration from the 2005 film Hustle & Flow, starring Terrence Howard as Memphis rapper-turned-pimp DJay.
The βHustle & Flowβ is loaded with nods to the film. Its mismatched blue-and-yellow design pulls directly from a movie poster featuring DJay with his Chevrolet Caprice Classic. And, of course, there are plenty of signature Ja touches, like the Swoosh shaped into a βJβ on the side and βTwelveβ stamped on the heel, tying the story back to Morantβs game. Buy them now β
πThe Nike Air Foamposite Oneβs latest comeback continues with a fresh new βDeep Royalβ colorway releasing on September 12th. π€ Action Bronson Reveals the New Balance 992 βTiger Eyeβ and βDigitalis Purpureaβ
The Action Bronson x New Balance collaboration helped spark a wave of renewed hype for New Balance, while cementing the Queens-born rapper and multihyphenate as a bona fide tastemaker in sneaker culture. Now, the duo is set to continue their highly regarded partnership with the New Balance 992 in βTiger Eyeβ and βDigitalis Purpureaβ colorways as teased by Bronson while on the red carpet for the premiere of the A24 film Caught Stealing.
An official release date hasnβt been confirmed as of this writing, but if Bronsonβs past projects and reveals are to be considered, then expect the βTiger Eyeβ and βDigitalis Purpureaβ to drop in the coming months, possibly in Fall 2025.
ββBronsonβs relationship with New Balance dates back several years, beginning with his first collaborative release on the 990v2 and 990v3 silhouettes. Each project has been celebrated for its close attention to detail, distinctive color palettes, and storytelling that blends Bronsonβs Queens roots with New Balanceβs heritage. These collaborations have consistently cemented his status as one of the most influential figures bridging hip-hop and sneaker culture.
The New Balance βTiger Eyeβ and βDigitalis Purpureaβ colorways continue Bronsonβs signature approach, mixing muted earth tones with pops of bright, bold color for a look thatβs both grounded and eye-catching.
πΉ Supreme Reveals Nike SB Dunk Low Collab for its Fall/Winter 2025 Collection
After teasing its Fall/Winter 2025 collection earlier in August, Supreme officially kicked off the season with its first drop on August 28th, drawing plenty of buzz across the streetwear and sneaker worlds. Headlining the early rollout was the brandβs collaborative Nike SB Dunk Low, which released on September 4th. Designed in four colorways, the drop felt like a throwback to a bygone era in sneaker culture.Β
Only the βWhite/Silverβ and βBlack/Redβ pairs were made available globally, while the βBlueβ colorway was exclusive to North America, and the βGreenβ and βPurpleβ pairs were reserved for Asia and Europe, respectively. Itβs a playbook Supreme has run before, and one that almost always pays off. For longtime collectors, the regional rollout also harkens back to the early 2000s heyday of Nike SB, when limited, market-specific colorways helped fuel the Dunkβs cult status and laid the groundwork for todayβs global hype machine.
Supremeβs decision to limit the availability of its latest SB Dunk release also speaks to the brandβs commitment to maintaining an aura of exclusivity, despite whispers that the βWorld Famousβ label has lost some of its edge.

Miami Hurricanes Legends Debut the Upcoming SoleFly x Air Jordan 3
The starsβand sneakersβwere out on the sidelines of the season openerβs seismic college football showdown between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Miami Hurricanes. With Hurricane legends like Ray Lewis, Michael Irvin, Andre Johnson, Ed Reed, and Edgerrin James in attendance, Miami pulled off a spectacular 27β24 victory over Notre Dame.
But a gutsy last-minute field goal by kicker Carter Davis wasnβt the only headline of the nightβat least not in the sneaker world. Before kickoff, Miami-based boutique SoleFly co-founders Carlos Prieto and Daniel Hidalgo laced up Johnson and Reed with pairs of the upcoming Hurricanes-inspired SoleFly x Air Jordan 3, turning the sidelines into a stage for one of the cityβs biggest sneaker moments of the season.
The new release marks a full-circle moment for SoleFly. Back in 2014, the retailer debuted its first-ever collaboration with Jordan Brandβa Jordan 3 inspired by the Florida Lottery. That pair never saw a full retail release and was produced in extremely limited numbers for Friends & Family, cementing its status as one of the most coveted Air Jordans of the modern era.
Now, the pair will finally be made available to the public. While SoleFly and Jordan Brand have yet to release official product photos, stills captured from the game reveal a crisp white leather upper with green accents on the toe and mudguard, and pops of orange on the heel counter. A green Jumpman lands on the tongue, while a semi-translucent orange co-branded SoleFly x Nike Air hang tag completes the look.
Early rumors point to a potential Holiday 2025 release for the new SoleFly x Air Jordan 3, making this one of the most anticipated Air Jordan drops of the season.
