Now, let’s get back to business…

Each week, we’ll select one standout pair, be it a classic, sleeper, new drop, or something with a story worth telling. Plus, Chase will give his verdict.

This week, we’ve tapped…

Air Jordan 4 β€œCave Stone”

Today, we’ll be exploring the Air Jordan 4 β€œCave Stone.”

While it may still be summer on the calendar, Jordan Brand is already leaning into the cooler months ahead with fall-ready drops like the Air Jordan 4 β€œCave Stone,” released in full family sizing on September 9th. Showcasing classic β€œNike Air” branding on the heelβ€”a rarity for a non-OG Jordan 4 colorwayβ€”the β€œCave Stone” brings a premium lifestyle aesthetic to the timeless silhouette.

This early-fall standout is built with high-quality materials, including a Cave Stone suede upper paired with black accents on the tongue, side netting, wings, and lining, keeping the look both versatile and seasonal.

While those touches elevate the design, its defining feature is undoubtedly the β€œNike Air” heel branding, a detail typically reserved for OG colorways and high-profile collaborations. Its inclusion on the β€œCave Stone” gives the pair a must-have quality for collectors.

Finally, as some have pointed out, there’s a strong chance the Air Jordan 4 β€œCave Stone” draws inspiration from an unreleased Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4 sample that never hit retail. That connection only heightens its appeal, giving collectors the opportunity to own a piece that nods to Jordan Brand heritage and Travis Scott lore.

The Air Jordan 4 β€œCave Stone” is the latest addition to the Jordan 4 family tree, and in my estimation, it’s a must-have for collectors looking for a clean, versatile everyday pair heading into fall. With a Cave Stone suede upper and black hits on the netting, wings, and liner, it’s the kind of shoe you’ll get plenty of mileage out of, so long as you keep it clean between wears. The β€œNike Air” logo on the heel lets you know that this is no ordinary release.

And it’s not.

The β€œCave Stone” echoes an unreleased Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4 that never hit retail. It’s not an exact one-to-one, but the sentiment is the sameβ€”a Jordan 4 that feels both collectible and wearable, with a little added lore baked in. You can’t ask for much more from a non-OG Jordan in 2025, especially in a sneaker landscape where we’ve seen and worn it all before.

This section is all about the buzziest drops, scroll-stopping headlines, and can’t-miss news lighting up the sneaker world each week.

This week, we’re zeroing in on…

πŸ”₯ The return of the Air Jordan 5 β€œFire Red - Black Tongue”

πŸ›Ή Supreme debuts new Nike SB Dunks for its Fall/Winter 2025 collection

Air Jordan 5 β€œFire Red - Black Tongue”

Jordan Brand’s celebration of the Air Jordan 5’s 35th anniversary isn’t slowing down. After the β€œGrape” release in June, the brand is bringing back another classic on September 13th: the Air Jordan 5 β€œFire Red – Black Tongue.”

Undoubtedly inspired by the original β€œFire Red – Black Tongue” from 1990, designed by Tinker Hatfield and famously worn by Michael Jordan with the Bulls, the 2025 retro brings back OG details like β€œNike Air” embroidery on the heel, shark-tooth midsole accents, Jordan’s former PE-style β€œ23” on the lateral heel, and more. All told, it’s a faithful tribute to one of the most iconic Jordans ever made. Buy them now β†’

Yu-Gi-Oh! x Nike Air Max 95 QS β€œJoey”

The worlds of sneakers and manga are colliding in spectacular fashion courtesy of the Yu-Gi-Oh! x Nike Air Max 95 QS β€œJoey” on September 12th. Inspired by the legendary manga series, specifically Joey Wheeler, the best friend of Yugi Muto, this bold pair channels his personality with striking colors, layered textures, and eye-catching details pulled straight from the anime. Other notable drops

πŸ‘Ÿ With Labor Day behind us, it’s time to gear up for the cooler months ahead. For sneaker collectors, that means fresh drops from Jordan Brand, like the fall-ready Women’s Air Jordan 1 High OG β€œBaroque Brown” releasing September 9th. Built on a crisp white leather base with rich chocolate brown overlays, this clean, versatile colorway channels autumn in the best way possible. Buy them now β†’

πŸ‘ŸOur Sneaker of the Week from last week’s newsletter, the Nike Ja 3 β€œHustle & Flow”—dropped September 10thβ€”is the latest standout in Ja Morant’s red-hot signature line. This mismatched blue-and-yellow pair brings a fresh storytelling angle to the series, drawing inspiration from the 2005 film Hustle & Flow, starring Terrence Howard as Memphis rapper-turned-pimp DJay.

The β€œHustle & Flow” is loaded with nods to the film. Its mismatched blue-and-yellow design pulls directly from a movie poster featuring DJay with his Chevrolet Caprice Classic. And, of course, there are plenty of signature Ja touches, like the Swoosh shaped into a β€œJ” on the side and β€œTwelve” stamped on the heel, tying the story back to Morant’s game. Buy them now β†’

πŸ‘ŸThe Nike Air Foamposite One’s latest comeback continues with a fresh new β€œDeep Royal” colorway releasing on September 12th. Using the same classic color blocking as the iconic β€œRoyal” pair, this edition deepens the shade of blue for a darker, modern twist on the retro basketball staple. Buy them now β†’

🎀 Action Bronson Reveals the New Balance 992 β€œTiger Eye” and β€œDigitalis Purpurea”

The Action Bronson x New Balance collaboration helped spark a wave of renewed hype for New Balance, while cementing the Queens-born rapper and multihyphenate as a bona fide tastemaker in sneaker culture. Now, the duo is set to continue their highly regarded partnership with the New Balance 992 in β€œTiger Eye” and β€œDigitalis Purpurea” colorways as teased by Bronson while on the red carpet for the premiere of the A24 film Caught Stealing.

An official release date hasn’t been confirmed as of this writing, but if Bronson’s past projects and reveals are to be considered, then expect the β€œTiger Eye” and β€œDigitalis Purpurea” to drop in the coming months, possibly in Fall 2025.

Bronson’s relationship with New Balance dates back several years, beginning with his first collaborative release on the 990v2 and 990v3 silhouettes. Each project has been celebrated for its close attention to detail, distinctive color palettes, and storytelling that blends Bronson’s Queens roots with New Balance’s heritage. These collaborations have consistently cemented his status as one of the most influential figures bridging hip-hop and sneaker culture.

The New Balance β€œTiger Eye” and β€œDigitalis Purpurea” colorways continue Bronson’s signature approach, mixing muted earth tones with pops of bright, bold color for a look that’s both grounded and eye-catching.

πŸ›Ή Supreme Reveals Nike SB Dunk Low Collab for its Fall/Winter 2025 Collection

After teasing its Fall/Winter 2025 collection earlier in August, Supreme officially kicked off the season with its first drop on August 28th, drawing plenty of buzz across the streetwear and sneaker worlds. Headlining the early rollout was the brand’s collaborative Nike SB Dunk Low, which released on September 4th. Designed in four colorways, the drop felt like a throwback to a bygone era in sneaker culture.Β

Only the β€œWhite/Silver” and β€œBlack/Red” pairs were made available globally, while the β€œBlue” colorway was exclusive to North America, and the β€œGreen” and β€œPurple” pairs were reserved for Asia and Europe, respectively. It’s a playbook Supreme has run before, and one that almost always pays off. For longtime collectors, the regional rollout also harkens back to the early 2000s heyday of Nike SB, when limited, market-specific colorways helped fuel the Dunk’s cult status and laid the groundwork for today’s global hype machine.

Supreme’s decision to limit the availability of its latest SB Dunk release also speaks to the brand’s commitment to maintaining an aura of exclusivity, despite whispers that the β€œWorld Famous” label has lost some of its edge.

Miami Hurricanes Legends Debut the Upcoming SoleFly x Air Jordan 3

The starsβ€”and sneakersβ€”were out on the sidelines of the season opener’s seismic college football showdown between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Miami Hurricanes. With Hurricane legends like Ray Lewis, Michael Irvin, Andre Johnson, Ed Reed, and Edgerrin James in attendance, Miami pulled off a spectacular 27–24 victory over Notre Dame.

But a gutsy last-minute field goal by kicker Carter Davis wasn’t the only headline of the nightβ€”at least not in the sneaker world. Before kickoff, Miami-based boutique SoleFly co-founders Carlos Prieto and Daniel Hidalgo laced up Johnson and Reed with pairs of the upcoming Hurricanes-inspired SoleFly x Air Jordan 3, turning the sidelines into a stage for one of the city’s biggest sneaker moments of the season.

The new release marks a full-circle moment for SoleFly. Back in 2014, the retailer debuted its first-ever collaboration with Jordan Brandβ€”a Jordan 3 inspired by the Florida Lottery. That pair never saw a full retail release and was produced in extremely limited numbers for Friends & Family, cementing its status as one of the most coveted Air Jordans of the modern era.

Now, the pair will finally be made available to the public. While SoleFly and Jordan Brand have yet to release official product photos, stills captured from the game reveal a crisp white leather upper with green accents on the toe and mudguard, and pops of orange on the heel counter. A green Jumpman lands on the tongue, while a semi-translucent orange co-branded SoleFly x Nike Air hang tag completes the look.

Early rumors point to a potential Holiday 2025 release for the new SoleFly x Air Jordan 3, making this one of the most anticipated Air Jordan drops of the season.
