Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 Low OG βNitroβ
In this issue, weβll be exploring the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 Low OG βNitroβ
In a world where most collaborators are incredibly lucky to design one great shoe, Nigel Sylvester is gearing up for the release of his second acclaimed project this year. The Air Jordan 1 Low OG βNitroβ arrives August 2nd, following the success of his βBrick by Brickβ Air Jordan 4 from earlier this spring.
Built with pre-scuffed leather uppers, a Sail-colored Swoosh and midsole, and Nigelβs signature βBike Airβ branding on the tongue and insole, the βNitroβ blends BMX grit with vintage Jordan DNA. A classic Wings logo on the heel and a special βJordan Biking Co. 2017β mark inside round out the story-driven design.
Sylvester is easily one of the most exciting Jordan Brand/Nike collaborators right nowβtop two or three for sure. The βBrick by Brickβ was hugely well-received and will go down as one of the best Jordan 4 releases of 2025. His earlier releasesβthe Air Jordan 1 in 2018, the Nike Air Ship in 2023 (a gem), and the Air Jordan 4 RM in 2024βhave steadily built his legacy.
Now, with the Jordan 1 Low OG βNitro,β that legacy feels firmly established. Sylvesterβs BMX-inspired spin on iconic Jordans is to performance grit what Virgil Ablohβs βDIYβ approach was to deconstructionβdistinct, personal, and era-defining.
The Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 Low OG βNitroβ releases on August 2nd through select Jordan Brand retailers and Nike.com. Pricing for the Air Jordan 1 Low OG is set at $160.

Debuted during Michael Jordanβs first retirement in 1994, the Air Jordan 10 didnβt garner the same love as the 9 or 11 that bookended its mid-β90s run. But over time, appreciation for the model has grown, especially for the βSteelβ colorway, which helped fuel its resurgence during the retro boom of the early-to-mid 2000s.
